2021 CSR of the Year for California
Marcella Reynolds Beasley, MA, CIC, CISR, CRIS, MLIS, TRIP, CLP, CIIP has been named the 2021 Outstanding CSR of the Year for California for the third year in a row. She will compete for the top five finalist positions. She is the Account Manager-Lead - Construction Services Group for Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. Marcella is the President of the Insurance Associates of Fresno and the CA Council Membership Chair. Congratulations Marcella, we are so proud of you.

Insurance Business America reveals Elite Women 2021
In February, IBA put out a call for nominations for this year’s Elite Women list. Nominators were asked to provide details of their nominee’s achievements and initiatives over the past 12 months, including specific examples of their professional accomplishments and contributions to the industry as a whole.
The judges and the IBA team reviewed all nominations, examining how each individual had made a meaningful contribution to the industry, to whittle down the list to the final 65 Elite Women. There were 105,000 nominations of deserving women.
With the start of COVID-19, people had to readjust their lives. Christine decided she would use working remotely in re-educating herself and strengthening her insurance knowledge and experience. She obtained her CRIS, MLIS, CIIP, TRIp and her Certified Diversity and Inclusion (CDP) designation.
Christine is the Risk and Human Resources Manager with the Charles Dunn Company, Inc. and is a member of the Insurance Professionals of Los Angeles and holds a dual membership in the Insurance Professionals of Orange County. She is a past California Council Council Director and the incoming Region VII RVP.
Christine served as Chair for the IAIP Non Dues Revenue Task Force as well as serving on the IAIP Convention Task Force.

Betsy Johnson, CISR, CIC has been nominated by her team members for the prestigious Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies President’s Award. Betsy is a Senior Marketing Manager in the Workers Compensation Division for BHHC. The President’s Award Nominations recognizes employees for their excellence in service.
Betsy is the President of San Diego Association of Insurance Professionals and has been a valuable team member since joining IAIP in 2014. She served on the Community Action committee and on the board as Vice President and is entering her second term as President. She volunteers for our charity walks and community action programs. Betsy generously gives her time to other local charities. She is a volunteer for the San Diego Police Foundation, PWI Golf Tournament Committee and the California Restaurant Association . She is the Education Chair for SDAIP.
Betsy is a Mentor in the OPT (Office Professional Training) program at Grossmont College. She serves on the IIAB Board of Directors and the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation. She is a member of Professional Women in Insurance San Diego. She is always there to volunteer and puts her heart and soul into everything she does.
Betsy has been previously honored with the SDAIP Gayle Reskin Angel Award, SDAIP Member of the Year, SDAIP Insurance Professional of the Year and the IIAB Associate of the Year Award presented at the San Diego IDay.

Marcella is a proud member of the Insurance Associates of Fresno. Marcella is an exceptional insurance professional and an extraordinary young lady. She was the recipient of the 2019 Outstanding CSR for CA. We are so proud of you Marcella!
In her own words: I am very excited and honored to be selected as the 2020 Outstanding CSR of the Year for California. It is in thanks to my mentors, family, friends, and most especially IAIP. This organization has given me so many opportunities and support to pursue leadership positions. Through IAIP, I have grown in character, learned from mentors that I now call friends, and gained meaningful experiences that make me the person I am today. Thank you IAIP!
Susana Baja receives Grand Champion status!
Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So is she!
Susana Baja, CPIW, CA Member at Large has joined the elite ranks of Grand Champion! Susana raised over $1000.00 on her own for a cause that is extremely important to her. She is on the Logistics Committee for her second year and works on raising funds and raising awareness of this dreadful disease.
When you raise $500 or more or $1000 or more for Walk to End Alzheimer's®, you gain a place in the Champions Club or the Grand Champions Club. Those who raise $1,000 or more will join the Grand Champion Club.
She has walked and raised funds for many charities over the years like MDA and Lymphoma but her main focus now is on Alzheimer’s awareness.
Susana is a Marketing and Account Manager for Crouse & Associates. She started her insurance career in 1998. She has been an active member of IAIP serving as local president and on many committees including serving as Membership Liaison and Legislation Liaison for the CA Council.
She is married and has two wonderful sons. She is very active in her Bay Area community. She is on the committee for the Cinco De May Festivities in San Pablo. She has been a volunteer teacher instructing a Faith Formation class for over fifteen years.
Susana enjoys hiking, road trips, cooking and of course fundraising!!

IPLA congratulates Christine Chandler Tillett, PHR, CLP on her recent International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) - Risk Management Professional of the Year award. Christine received the award at the IAIP International Convention. In addition, Christine also received a full scholarship from IRMI for her Construction Risk Insurance Specialist courses.
